- Chopped onion and tomato. Cut the potato into long shape. Slit the chilies..
- Cut the fish fillet from the middle and clean the fish very well with water. Now marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder..
- In the kadai/pan heat 3-4 tbsp oil and fry the fish. Turn over the fish carefully once one side done. Fry the fish carefully else the fishes will be broken..
- Now in the same kadai heat the rest oil and add kalonjee/nigella sativa. Then add potatoes and fry little..
- Then add onion and saute well. When the onion becomes translucent then add chopped tomatoes and green chilies and saute them well. Now add a paste of turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt..
- Mix them well and cook until oil separates. Then add water as required. When it comes to boil add the fried fish..
- When it reaches to desire gravy consistency then switch off the gas and serve it with steamed rice. Remember the potatoes should be boiled properly..
